    Update: A Time Off

    It's been a while.
    Yes, it has.

So much was done, but so little to write.
Abundance of time to spend, but so little time to write.

What's with me? I guess is the feeling of wanting to pour everything out, but limited.
Amazingly enough, I have the tendency to compile a month worth of events to one entry.
Trying to break the habit, but it is YET to be done.

I'll write briefly so my readers can digest everything at one bite =p

    Fear of Practicum

In 1 month time, I have to face practicum for the second time now. Not that I'm not excited, but I guess I'm just afraid. Why? --- My supervisor. A researcher or pedagogy staff - nope, does not excite me at all. I thought I would have my Drama tutors to assess me --- WRONG. That is only happening for the secondary track (I'm in primary track). I gave him a late call to arrange meeting. Well, DUH, I'm in JAKARTA by the time I was told to call. COLD COLD COLD reply from him. Nevermind, I pray that he's nice in real person, and give me a deserving and merciful PASS for practicum grade.

I've been 'relieve' teaching back here in Jakarta in my previous contract school. Oh, btw, I graduated highschool from this school too -- Morning Star Academy (MSA). It's not like the Singaporean schools. It's basically one school building for Kindergarten all the way to Highschool. It's fun to be back here and meet my previous students -- and many many many juniors!! I really took over a class, not longer assisting. What's the difference between Singapore's neighborhood schools and Indonesia's international schools?

I have yet to find out.

Not really excited, but ok la, I shall be able to cope.
The reason why I'm so turn off by it is because it cuts off my VACATION time! Bali time shortened! HAIZ....

The bright side is, I will be able to find out the different types of schools. Oh, and make friends and gain more experience! Yay..

    Cinderella

I'm very much looking forward to this production. I think it's going to be SO grand to see my BROTHER waltz around the theater stage. Haha.. I have come to a conclusion that WALTZ ain't easy at all! I got dizzy after waltzing around the space. Maybe it's due to my height and my partner's height. Geez, he's tall and I'm like.... ehm.... not.......... (thx huh!)

This musical will take place ---

    June 11, 2008
    Taman Ismail Marzuki (Jakarta)
    2pm & 7pm

Performed by Morning Star Academy Performing Arts students.

For more info, please contact MSA.

Bali Trip and All the Business to Follow

No, it won't be this month. I still have to wait until next month to enjoy my relaxing and most desired place in Indonesia. I do have to take care a lot of stuff before I go and after I come back. I'm basically FULLY-BOOKED throughout this holiday. My final holiday project will end on June 22nd. AND I'm GOING OFF to Singapore on June 22!!! OMG! OMG! OMG! I can't believe I'm going off by that time. Shucks........

As I learn just now in devotion, taking excessive vacation is also not good for me. By the time I'm back to school, I'll be as lazy as a pig. Yes, I do hate to compare myself with a pig, but it is true.

Thus, in conclusion, even though the busyness of my holiday is killing me, I'm still thankful I get to WORK and make my brain function well. HAHA..

Which then inspires me to get a part-time job when I'm back in S'pore to earn some extra bling! yeehaawww!!

Anyone got contact to a great and not-so-demanding job apportunity?
International students are in need of cash -- well, at least ME! =p

Life's good ya'll, if you try to make it that way.

Confexion - Jakarta for holiday anyone?

It's about time I update! I've been having fun back home in Jakarta for the holiday! Lots of things going on. I'm technically not on my holidays yet coz I'm not doing my favorite relaxing things. No spa, no massage, no beach, no movie marathon -- YET!

I'm teaching in my previous school, K5 and Primary 1. Teaching basically phonics, math and reading. It's fun getting to be in touch with the children. Some of them I just knew, but we just cliqued. Haha.. Kids are amazing! Love 'em!

Their sense of curiosity and respect of "Miss Know-it-all" is still there! That's why I love them! Innocent, yet sometimes need to be discipline. I felt bad when I had to discipline a grand total of 5 children for my 2 reading classes as they didn't do their homework, which is part of their responsibility. Also, responsibility is the character trait that the school is going through last month, so, they should have known. Even though I felt bad, I do think it is for the best. Kids are called to be under authority to be disciplined, not spoilt.

Honestly, if I see children running around in the restaurant or screaming on top of their lungs in public makes me want to 'sheesh' the parents! What are they doing, letting these kids be spoilt and make way to destruction. They're kids! They need to be taught on what's right and what's wrong. That's why parents, or to some extent, adults are placed as the authority.

I'm glad that Morning Star Academy is present in Indonesia to be the training ground to equip children along with their parents to achieve the desireable outcome, making a leader out of them. So, having to discipline the kids - asking them to stand for that class hour - was actually a not-so-comfortable thing for me to do, but I have to do it. It's teaching children that every action has a consequence. Not doing their responsibility has consequences that can go a long way if it is not dealt at the time of its 'birth'.

I know I'm being philosophical, but seriously, if you look around you, majority of the children of the world are being spoil brats! Maybe they're not like that in front of the parents. You know, the two-faced kid - an angel with parents but a devil behind them. I'm sure we don't want the children to live the life of destruction. Thus, we have to do something that will help them change and become a better person, NOT SMOOTHEN THEIR PATHS!!

    Alrighty, back to my update.

I've been going out with friends to catch up. Well, not a lot coz most of them are in their EXAM period. I'm like -- "huh? what's exam? I never heard of it." (done sarcastically). MUAHAHAHA... I'm working out too. The actual working out in a gym! Yay, my dream came true. I have to lose weight and I will. Those in Singapore, you will see.. =p

I'm looking forward for more events to come! I have friends from Spore that is supposed to fly over here! I need your confirmation people (you know who you are). =]
My mom bought tickets for the Cinderella show already! Oh, btw, that's the show MSA is putting up. A musical by the students! It's going to be DA BOMB! =D

So yea, that's pretty much what I do here. Oh, I play VIWAWA the online game too, if any of you are interested in playing with me. Muahahaha...
I'm very involved in the music ministry every Sunday. I do miss singing in the church, and I'm glad I have the whole month to do it! nyahahaha..

Don't worry folks in Singapore. I do miss you! I will be back. I can't be in 2 places at the same time. Everything has its time. It's my time to be Indonesia and bless the people here for my holiday period. Soon, I will be back to Spore, which I am learning to call home, at least, second home coz I do miss that place. Oh, I don't miss the school. I miss the people. I miss my friends who have been super nice to me. LOVE YOU ALL and I REALLY MISS YOU!
DON'T CRY FOR ME SINGAPORE! Hahahaha... I'm being lamer and lamer at night... Alrighty.. going to bed =p
