    Traditional Asian Theatre Workshop I

    Well, hello, good people..

I've been super busy lately with assignments and performances. Yup, never update my blog anymore since then.

However, I do wanna share a bit on my experience of the Tradition Asian Theatre workshop I went with my drama classmates. It was yesterday (Feb 25, 2008) and it's like SUPER FUN but TIRING!

Our workshops will only last for 3 days. This is our break week for school. So, we start our Chinese Opera workshop at 10 am - 1 pm in Chinatown. Then we have a break to have lunch etc. We continue the day by having the next workshop, which is Kathakali (Indian Dance form) from 4 pm - 6 pm in Little India. It's like SO obvious where the venues of the workshop will be. Haha.. I find it cute. What if the workshops are held at the opposite venues? Wouldn't that be ironic? Lalalala...

So, I just went through a day of training. Can't wait for the next one, which is TOMORROW!
So far, our Chinese Opera workshop is just theory base. However, the Kathakali one is like directly to the practical! Love it, btw. My feet hurts though. (We didn't do warm up loh...)

Without further ado, go ahead and watch the videos of our training. It's like so funny. Btw, we put the videos in YouTube because we need to practice the steps we learn for tomorrow's workshop! HAAAA...

Btw, the videos are not set in chronological order. Hehe..

Kathakali Part 1a - The Greetings
    * watch out for the sudden outbreak by me (1:43). Btw, I'm in the centre ya.

    What Is Your Perspective?

Sometimes in life we would just make a big deal out of problems. Worst, we make EVEN A BIGGER deal out tiny problems.
The thing is, what are we actually doing?
When we make a big deal out of something, are we actually solving it?

This is what I got today:

Don't focus on your problem. Don't magnify your problem, but magnify GOD!
Your wrong perspective can keep you away from your Promise Land.
Don't see the giants in your life. See the bigger God instead!
Be like Joshua and Caleb -- entered the promise land because they see with the right perspective.

We see God do miracles and help us through our problems in the past. The same GOD can pick us up and cause us to succeed in our adversities!

Are you talking to God about how big your problems are or are you talking to your problems about how big your God is?

See your problem as a tiny spec because GOD is bigger than that!

He is ready to give you victory if you take on board the right attitude and the right perspective!

    He's GOD. Everything is possible.

He can turn your problem around to good things.
Keep the right attitude when adversities come because you know, God will always cause you to triumph!
