Alright..Finally, a time to just sit (more like lie down) and write down what's been happening to me! No, I'm not M.I.A... Just caught up with some stuff..

Like NUMBER ONE thing now is EXAM and PAPERS! It's nearing the end of semester 1 of year 2.. I can't believe it's so fast already! But ya, anyway, you know those syndromes of nearing the end of the term. Busy mugging and stuff. That's what I've been doing all these while! Then last 2 Sundays, Ps Steve Murrell was preaching on Grace. It actually strucked me! I'm like, yeah, why am I doing ALL the work with my own strength! I felt so pressured all these while, and yet I thought it's being diligent.

What's more interesting is that before that Sunday, I'd not been in a very good mood due to the stress etc.. So any slight wrong comment at the wrong time will seriously blow me off! God taught me a lesson on just depending on Him and keep a GOOD attitude through my sister and parents.

This is what my Dad wrote to me in email....

"I understand you are catching up with all the busy schedules and deadlines at school, and sometimes it can catch up to you like losing your temper etc which in the end doesn’t solve the problem at all. Or you may have one problem solved but at the same time create another, like loosing your peace or hurting somebody.

I am very sure this is not the Lord wants out of you. He said His yoke is easy, and the burden is light. So the word of God to you is take it easy, don’t worry. God is in control, as long as you allow Him to.

With a peaceful mind, you will get more things done, and people around you will be blessed too, and most of all, you will get the most blessing out of it. Love, Dad.."

Oh man! God seriously know how to cheer me up and make me realize my mistakes! Through these words, I'm VERY convinced that God wants me to take a break and just "chillax" when I prepare myself for exam and papers. He wants me to STOP being so gan chiong (ms. worry a lot)!! But yeah, I did that. I began to relax and study at the same time with God's help, of course.

So, on the next few paragraphs, I'll be telling you what I do for my "chillax" session. HAHA..

APEC 2007

This is the Asian Pastors' Equipping Conference for Every Nation churches pastors (Nov. 6-8, 2007). EN Singapore is the host this year. I volunteered to help out in the music team. I'm like so blessed by the encouragement and just the presence of the people there. I would like to extend my gratitude to the Music Team members who believed in me and gave me the opportunity to serve and bless other pastors and leaders too. I absolutely LOVE the whole APEC Praise & Worship. God has really brought the music team here to another level, and I'm glad that I am part of it =D

The highlight for the APEC 2007 is the Celebrate the Nations (Mission NIght). It was amazing to see people coming in with different national costumes. Again, big compliments to the music team, WONDERFUL job as like the climax of the event overall! It's really a blessing to work with people who supports you and just continue to encourage you. Yeay.. Also, KUDOS to the Hands of Love people! Seriously the best glow-in-the-dark hand or ultraviolet hand mime I have ever seen!

It's good to see all the pastors from all over the world, especially when they are telling me how small I was when I first met them. Haha... Cuteness.. What a reunion! =]

PURE CHILLAX DAY

The term CHILLAX means chill & relax (kudos to the twins). So yeah, as part of my destressing, yesterday my friends from church and I went to have a joyous weekend. It's probably one of the best weekends I've had in SINGAPORE! Haha..

So first, we went to watch Lions for Lambs at The Cathay. The movie I would only give a 2 *. It's so seriously, too dramatic and too many 'antis'. Personally, it's a propaganda film. Politics here and there (anti-US, anti-"Middle East", anti-Bush, anti-whatever). It's a self-centered, one man's narrow viewpoint film. The words they use (acted sadly by Tom Cruise) are very harsh. Questioning and just resisting the political movements. Just objecting the authority in the name of democracy and should I say ARTS?

If I'm to read the semiotics of the film in surface level, I would give 2.5 *. Too much Drama, boring acting skill, constant dialogues which can bore you BIG TIME if you're the type of person who loves Romantic Comedy or Action movies like me... I only like the part where the 2 soldiers died in the end. How touching that I almost cried, but I didn't! I need to be in my catharsis MOOD to actually cry when watching movies. This movie doesn't really bring that much catharsis, obviously.

Then, if I were to interpret the semiotics, I would give it a 1.5 *. As I said previously, so Anti-everything except themselves. What makes them happy that moment. But then, I like the quote of Theodore Roosevelt shown in the film:

"If I were to choose between righteousness and peace, I choose righteousness."

I'm still letting this quote wash over me -- such cliche drama people use after watching something..LOL.. Another one is from one of the soldier's dialogue: "The one who leads are the one who get out there and do something."

I'll leave these quotes and the review as it is. I shall not interpret or give further explanation to you. Let these words WASH OVER YOU... hehehehe...

Okay, enough of the movie.. Moving on to the highlight of the night! Went to this country club with my friends. Had our dinner then play bowling. Amazingly, I reached 100+ during bowling! HAHA.. Long time I haven't seen that number coming. Hehe.. Scored 99 for the first game, which frustrates me, why didn't I get 1 more point?! Nevermind.. Scored 136 for the second one. 3 strikes on the 2nd game -- twice in a row.. Yay.. It's a good game, I would say. Judging my own performance on those two games, I feel that I'm quite consistent in my bowling. Taking the advice from people who coached me before, keep the wrist firm, never rush, focus on the arrow and pins and be mindful of your hand. OH, and I upgraded my ball -- from 6 to 8. Turns out to be better. But yeah, one thing I learn, NEVER GO BOWLING WITH SKINNY JEANS =]

Okay, then the other stuff I've been doing is like watching Heroes, Ugly Betty, movies, and play my Nintendo DS! I finished Bomberman Touch adventure 2 days ago. Meaning, I finished the whole level which is a lot of things to do. Also, It's amazing I get to finish it coz usually I don't like these stuff. I like to stick with Mario Kart.. Haha..

Anyway, that's all for the update! My Mom and Bros are coming later! We're gonna watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on Tuesday! Hope to have a fruitful time together with the Wowors and the Ongkos too! I really wish I can finish my exam ASAP! I need a break already..

Do pray for me coz I have MATH exam on Friday and my Journal due on Monday. After that, REVIVAL! Hahaha... Oh God, help me with my Math, need FAVOR and GRACE to grasp the concept! =]
