    Review: The Leap Years

Well, well... What can I say about the movie that has the longest trailer I have ever seen in my whole life!

First time I see the trailer, it was fine. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of movie that is until I heard the "accent".. Duh, Singaporean movie la...Mind you, the trailer lasted for about 5 minutes, and it plays OVER and OVER again! It plays in TV at home, on the bus, taxi, you name it! Every time the trailer comes on, I'll be like "ARGH! CHANGE CHANNEL ALREADY!"

    Irritating.

Ok, now about the movie.. I'm pretty disappointed by the product of like million dollars advertisement. Sucks. I feel sorry for the sponsors, actually.

It's SOOOOO drama... but it's SOOO predictable. There is NO prevailing and satisfying twist in the film.

    *bloopers*
The twist only happens when she was proposed by the other guy.

Even this twist did not sustain my emotion. In the end they still did not get married. BAH!

Ain't it so fairytale? You walked out of your wedding when you walked down the "altar" in front of people! Then you ran across a bridge under the rain and met the prince charming. Give a good kiss and live happily ever after!

ONLY HAPPENS IN THE MOVIES! [as far as I know. Let me know otherwise.]

Actually, for this kind of movie, I do wonder what happen to the groom or the other party left behind to carry the shame! THAT is what playwrights or screenwriters should come up with!

Anyway, the movie, to me is like another waste of $. It does not worth my $ even if it is pirated DVD. Wait, pirated? eh no, cannot, it's Singapore =p

Therefore, I conclude this movie has TOO much fairytale drama. It is predictable. However, you somehow are expecting a twist in the end. A BIG twist that will leave all the audience to bawl til they flood the theaters with tears. BUT, it never happen.
    SUCKY, ain't it?

Btw, EVERYTHING IS SHOT IN SINGAPORE! You can see OCBC bank, Prudential building, Boat Quat. And oh, the best part is, SBS Bus 147 that is not on the right route.. 147 goes to my place ok! HAHA... I'm like, I never pass thru that setting when I board 147.. hAHHAHA...fake..

Not recommended for those of you who are ESPECIALLY anti-chick flick.
